I like this manga quite a bit. I appreciate the older art styles, but I didn't realize tis was from over ten years ago. That just adds to the nostalgic feeling for me.
There is a lot going on with the arr. It's consistent and the settings are fairly detailed.
The story isn't one we haven't heard before, but the plot makes it interesting. I can see myself spending tickets on this one and have added it to my collection.

In all honesty, the first volume was was pretty slow-paced and mediocre... until the last page. What a way to flip a story on it's head. Looking forward to reading more.

The girls are unlikeable and annoying at the beginning but eventually it turns more into teasing than anything mean spirited. The arts nice and I like the boxing story as well as the romance. A typical shounen ecchi romance but a decent one.

I love the story and the systematic. It has some mystery with a good and concrete plot and without the unneeded over-the-top fanservice. I love the chicken, I had to say it, not I am free. Also, the personality of the main characters is identifiable and designed in a way that will develop more as the story continues.

Pretty generic for a shonen manga, not bad and not great. Pretty straightforward for newcomers to read and enjoy with classic feel drawings that reminds me of Ichigo 100% almost. This is a enjoyable manga

I'm not a fan of the art cuz it looked kind of awkward & stiff cuz of that I can't really appreciate the fanservice. I feel like the characters weren't that memorable.

Although the story seems to follow the same footsteps as the average 80's sports/romance/shonen manga, The 80's aesthetic definitely adds some charm to the series, and the writing and artwork are competent enough to be enjoyable. Open Sesame definitely reminds me of series such as Golden Boy and Takehiko Inoue's Slam Dunk at face value, however this series lacks the skill or craft that both Golden Boy and Slam Dunk have, and I would definitely recommend those series over this any day. However this was enjoyable enough to merit 3 stars. If you think this might be for you feel free to give it a read.
