Diary of My Daily Failures

Definitely something everyone should read, especially if you're curious how mental health is handled in Japan. It's sad, but I want to read more about Eriko. I am so glad Eriko shares these stories, but I hope that someday she doesn't suffer from depression anymore.

Zanmu - Labyrinth -

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't expecting to be pulled into this.. I don't want to spoil it but a few scenes could spoil your milk they are so gross, but I love it! if I were to compare it to a tv-show it would be similar to dexter or death note because the killer only goes after certain types of people and they have a screwed sense of justice that almost makes them likeable and terrifying at the same time.. whatever, just read it since you made it this far..

Lost Youth

The story was confusing. I had a hard time tracking down the characters and their motivations. I felt like I was reading a manga version of "Trapped in the Closet." It didn't help that the characters have similar faces to one another.

Also, the pacing was rushed, and the story was hard to follow. In the first chapter, there were too many plot twists that happened one after another. Also, I had difficulty figuring out which event occurred in the past or the present.

Though, I like the pretty art style. The artwork on the cover is gorgeous.

Curse of the Three Sisters

I thought the art style was cute. The story started out interesting. But after the main characters visited the abandoned apartment, the plot went downhill. The suspense was gone, and the story became predictable. I didn't find the scares to be terrifying since I saw them coming.

The cute stylized artwork was the manga's strongest point. Each character had a distinct look that made it easy to tell who is who.

If you're looking for scares, you will not find it in this manga. But, if you like looking at awesome stylized art, then this manga is it.

This is certainly different. It's nice that it's in color too. I kind of wish there was more variety to the aliens, but I'll certainly keep reading to see what happens next.

As others have said, this is short and sweet. I wish it were longer, but it does tell a complete story in 2 chapters. If more is ever made, I will read for sure!

This is a great way to learn more about tennis. The main character is SUPER ANNOYING at first, but he's starting to show signs of growth. I can't wait for more!!

Curse of the Three Sisters

Although the gruesome death does showcase some personality of the three sisters: they are only chidren who doesn't know the boundary between right and wrong, doing whatever they can to get their mother back. (even though Im pretty sure it wasnt the author's intention, check out his/her pixiv, you will know why) Overall, the aesthetic is definitely the greatest asset here, very stylized and different (in a good way). But the story lacks suspense and predictable. If the exploration of the apartment was broken up into three or more segments, I think it will create more suspense where subtle, creepy events happening gradually every time the girls stole something. The Little School Nurse That Could

This is the story about a girl wich dream is to become a school nurse beacuase she admire the nurse of her middle school, but she went to a private school with rich students that are worried about their sex performance.

The main character is a naive girl wich is too obedient to any guy, so the story is too much forced to the other characters wishes.

She is a nice girl, so this story thread is quite fun but predictable.

Chika's Forest

Too cute! A simple and warm story where the reader follow Chika into (re)discovering the magic side of the forest.
A pretty enjoyable read in relaxing times with its 'feelgood' vibe, the soft and cozy art, and the soft atmosphere.
I love this art style, it conveys pretty well the light tone set in the manga.

The pacing of this manga is extremely rushed. Also, the ending was really anti-climatic. Most of this manga was spent setting up some conflict and it went nowhere. This manga should have been a series because it had the potential to be an entertaining love triangle story. It's a shame the story went to waste.

If you're like me and clicked on this manga because of the interesting cover, let me just make it clear that please read the tags! This is definitely an adult manga that features gore and horror so if you're not into that, click away! That being said let's get into the review. Personally, I can't say I'm too experienced with this genre, that being said I have seen/read my fair share of horror/gore. The manga doesn't hesitate to get right into the action and you'll experience what kind of title it is from chapter one. The story isn't exactly clear in the beginning but slowly starts to make sense as you read more. For the characters, there are definitely some interesting characters and I hope to see some more development from them soon. Lastly, I want to talk about the art and the author seems to have decent knowledge about shading and depth, similar to Berserk but still quite far from that level. All in all I would say if you're looking for something some suspense but horror aspects, tr

I like the story because it was short and sweet. Another thing that I like about this manga is that the main characters are adults which is refreshing to see in the yuri genre.

I wish it was longer because I would like to see a bit more character development from the cast.

However, I still enjoy the manga.

Diary of My Daily Failures

An interesting look at how mental health is dealt with in Japan. As someone who has a relative who is diagnosed with depression, parts of the manga hit close to home for me. The artwork is a bit clunky in some parts, but it fits the tone of the story.

It's Witching Time!

Funny and cute 4-koma manga. The witch is a hilarious character and so are the other characters. The manga is also surprisingly heartwarming at times. I highly recommend this manga.

Sinner

Notice: this manga is still currently being published at the time of this review!

The story of Sinner shows some interesting potential, showcasing a pretty gruesome and gritty world. Unfortunately the characters currently have had shallow backgrounds generic to this genre, and there isn't much content for me to truly get hooked into reading this manga(16 chapters so far!)

Maybe read it if you've time on your hands, if not, wait till more chapters are published.
